Entry-Level HVAC Technician
We're looking for motivated, hands-on individuals ready to launch or grow their HVAC career. You'll work alongside experienced technicians on commercial and industrial systems — learning the trade while delivering real value to our clients from day one.
Responsibilities
- Assist experienced HVAC technicians with installations, repairs, and maintenance of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot system issues and make necessary repairs
- Communicate with customers to explain issues and provide recommendations for repairs or replacements
- Coordinate with Operations Analysts to schedule service appointments and provide updates on service requests
- Utilize software systems to track service requests, equipment, and customer information
- Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and regulations
- Provide support to the operations team as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ years of experience in a related field (construction, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC), or completion of an HVAC training program or apprenticeship preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Strong mechanical and technical skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

We're seeking a skilled, self-sufficient HVAC Technician with proven commercial experience to join our growing field team. You'll take ownership of complex service calls, lead installations, and serve as a technical resource for junior techs — all while representing Araya's commitment to quality and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Independently diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and building automation systems
- Lead and oversee installations of rooftop units, split systems, chillers, and commercial refrigeration equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on complex commercial systems and document findings accurately in work order software (Corrigo, ServiceChannel, or similar)
- Mentor and guide entry-level technicians in the field, sharing best practices and safety protocols
- Communicate directly with facility managers and clients to explain diagnoses, scope of work, and repair recommendations
- Respond to 24/7 emergency service calls and resolve issues efficiently with minimal downtime for clients
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and parts inventory to ensure readiness for every job
- Ensure all work meets local codes, EPA regulations, and Araya quality standards
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on commercial HVAC/R service and installation experience required
- EPA 608 Universal Certification required
- Proven ability to independently diagnose and repair rooftop units, split systems, chillers, and commercial refrigeration
- Experience with building automation systems (BAS) and DDC controls a strong plus
- Proficiency with work order management platforms (Corrigo, ServiceChannel, or equivalent)
- Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical, refrigerant, and mechanical systems
- Excellent customer-facing communication and professional demeanor
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record; ability to pass background check
- Ability to work on-call rotation for emergency service coverage
